Description

Science 8–10

Students operate a beam trawl to collect a sample of marine organisms from Moreton Bay. Students retrieve, sort and identify organisms from the catch, then examine their physiological adaptations. Students draw conclusions about the interrelatedness and interdependence of the marine and mangrove ecosystems. Students consider the impacts of trawling.
