The Snake pit and our reptile collection

The centre maintains a number of live exhibits for use in school programs. While students can view the exhibits, handling is only permissible when Jacob's Well Environment staff are present. To view the specimens on display visit our Animals page.

The Snake pit is a resource room with reptiles, a salt water aquarium, puzzles, books and games. A DVD player, television and art equipment are also available. A volleyball court is set up for student recreation during camp.

ClassroomClassroom

Our multi-purpose classroom is designed to cater for a number of activities, including programs and a dining area of meals. It has seating for up to 70 students and is equipped with a digital projector, screen, smart TV and interactive microscope. The design of the classroom caters for a variety of classrooms, including (but not limited to) science, art and literacy activities.

Amenities

The amenities building provides 3 showers and composting toilets each for boys and girls, and a disabled toilet and shower room. We are not on town water, showers are limited to 3 minutes per person. We ask that students bring their own drinking water. However, we have rainwater tanks for extra drinking water. A laundry with washing machine is also available.
