Description

Using nets, students catch small freshwater creatures and sort, examine, identify and classify them. Students also learn of the relationship between these creatures and water quality. Students investigating the relationship between the growth and survival of living things and the physical conditions of an aquatic freshwater environment.
Students consider the impact of human activity on water quality and its subsequent impact on the composition of living things in a freshwater ecosystem.
