Vision
At Jacobs Well Environmental Education Centre, we are committed to the development and implementation of quality Environmental Education Programs which aid in the development of an environmentally conscious and active individual, and assists schools in achieving best educational outcomes for each student.
We provide unique and high quality experiential learning opportunities, supporting the Australian Curriculum in a context not available in the client school’s local learning environment. A range of day visit and residential programs are available to students from all sectors.
We are committed to creating a caring, friendly and productive learning environment, where students’ immersion in the natural environment will help to provide the foundation for a life of treading lightly on the earth.
Aim
Our aim is to provide educational programs for students from Preparatory to Year 12 that assist schools in achieving desired learning outcomes for their students.
The majority of schools are from the state sector, however, occasionally vacancies occur for non-state schools. The majority of our client schools are located in South-East Queensland. We have also provided programs for schools from Darling Downs, South West and Wide Bay Regions.
Some professional development opportunities for pre-service teachers and classroom teachers are also provided by the Centre with a focus upon environmental education and sustainability.
